On the occasion of "US ACLI DAY", two historical Italian theatres confronted one another to inaugurate this very special day held in San Siro Stadium.

In occasione de “US ACLI DAY”, evento conclusivo della stagione calcistica 2022/23, due storici teatri del nostro paese si sono confrontati nella gara inaugurale della giornata.

A sfidarsi, due istituzioni quali il Teatro alla Scala e il Teatro La Fenice di Venezia: due monumenti della storia nostrana hanno aperto le danze in un teatro altrettanto maestoso, lo Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro.

La comunanza di maestosità ha offerto l’occasione perfetta per coniare il nome di questo nuovo trofeo, conteso per l’appunto tra le rappresentative dei due teatri: così è nato il primo trofeo “La Scala del Calcio”.

La gara è andata in onda alle 8:30 di martedì 6 giugno 2023 e ha visto la partecipazione di due ampie compagini, in rappresentanza dei rispettivi teatri.

Da una parte il Teatro alla Scala, già vincitore della 53esima edizione del Campionato Europeo dei Teatri e capitanata da Andrea Vitalini, dall’altra invece il Teatro La Fenice, giunta da Venezia per l’occasione e guidata da Enrico Balboni, anch’esso – come Vitalini – estremo difensore dei suoi.

Se a Vicenza, in occasione del Campionato Europeo dei Teatri, la Scala era riuscita ad ottenere la vittoria finale – per la terza volta nella sua storia e per la seconda volta consecutiva – questa volta a trionfare è stata La Fenice.

Ai veneti è bastato un gol di bomber Graziani: “el nueve” ha deciso la gara insaccando nel primo tempo la rete del vantaggio. Nella ripresa La Fenice ha tenuto botta agli assalti avversari, riuscendo a mantenere il vantaggio e laureandosi così campione del primo trofeo “La Scala del Calcio”.

Naturalmente la sfida è stata interpretata in maniera assolutamente corretta e rispettosa da parte di entrambe le formazioni, consce dell’opportunità di poter battere il prato di San Siro in un clima sereno e mai anti-sportivo e, soprattutto, desiderose a vivere una giornata all’insegna dei sani valori veicolati dal gioco del calcio.

Al termine della gara è giunto il momento delle premiazioni. 

Innanzitutto, è stato consegnato l’ambito, meritato e soprattutto condiviso premio di “Miglior Portiere” relativo al Campionato Europeo dei Teatri, assegnato sia a Vitalini, sia a Balboni, in virtù delle prestazioni offerte lo scorso primo maggio a Vicenza.

Dopo una breve cerimonia, si è passati all’incoronazione del Teatro La Fenice, che con merito e dopo un’intensa ora di gara con i rivali della Scala ha potuto sollevare l’ambita coppa e “vendicarsi” del risultato ottenuto al campionato europeo.

L’evento è stato seguito in diretta dagli inviati dei quotidiani nazionali “La Gazzetta dello Sport” e la “Repubblica” e al termine sono stati pubblicati, rispettivamente nelle versioni online e cartacea, degli articoli dedicati proprio alla sfida tra i due Teatri.

1st “La Scala del Calcio” Trophy

On the occasion of the « US ACLI DAY », which is the conclusive event of the football 2022/2023 season, two historical Italian theatres confronted one another to inaugurate this very special day.

Indeed, it was the Teatro alla Scala (of Milan) and the Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, two undeniable monuments, two open the ball in the as much emblematic Stadium Giuseppe Maezza in San Siro (Milan).

This shared prestige, gave the opportunity to think to the perfect name for this new trophy, contested between the representatives of the two theatres. And in this way is born the first trophy of « La Scala del Calcio ».

The competition between the teams of the theatres started at 8:30 on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, with the participation of the respective representatives.

On the one hand, for what regards the Teatro alla Scala, who was also the winner of the 53rd edition of the European Football Championship of the Theaters, led by Andrea Vitalini, and. on the other hand, the Teatro La Fenice, coming from Venice especially for the occasion, led by Enrico Balboni, who is also - like Vitalini - extremely supportive of his team.

If in Vicenza, for the European Championship of the Theatres, la Scala won - actually for the third time in the history of the championship and for the second successive time in two years - this time this was La Fenice who triumphed.

A goal by the bomber Graziani was enough for the Venetians: « el nueve » decided the match by scoring the winning goal in the first half.

In the second half, La Fenice held off their opponents’ assaults, managing to maintain the lead and thus becoming the champions of the first « La Scala del Calcio » trophy.

Naturally, the competition has been interpreted in a correct and absolutely respectful way from both parts. Aware of the opportunity to beat the San Siro grass in a serene and never unsportsmanlike atmosphere and, above all, eager to experience a day under the sign of the healthy values promoted by the football game.

At the end of the match, it was time for the price-giving ceremony. First of all, was given the well-deserved and shared prize of « Best Goalkeeper » also related to the European Championship of the Theatres, to both Vitalini and Balboni for their performances on May 1st in Vicenza.

After a brief ceremony, it was time for La Fenice to be rewarded. With merit and after an intense hour of competition with their historical rivals from La Scala, has been able to lift the cup and « take its revenge » of the obtained result in the European Championship.
